Here are a few scenarios that would require a trip to a children’s urgent care center.
Ear infection - A few signs that your child may have an ear infection include a child tugging at their ear, extreme fussiness, trouble sleeping, fluid draining from their ears, and trouble hearing quiet sounds. Contact our children’s urgent care center if you notice your child has any of these symptoms so we can schedule a time for them to come in.
Bad cough -
A minor cough can be treated with over-the-counter cough medicine, but if your child has a harsh or wet cough, they should see a doctor. Our children’s urgent care center will be able to run some tests and figure out what illness your child has so it can be treated with the proper medication.
Fever -
The standard rule is that a child three months old or younger should be seen by a doctor when their fever reaches 100 degrees Fahrenheit and a child over three months should be seen by a doctor if their fever reaches 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Call our children’s urgent care center as soon as you discover your child has a fever.
Upper respiratory infection -
Some common signs that your child may have a respiratory infection include a cough, mild fever, raspy voice, a decrease in appetite, congestion, and sometimes a rash. Bring your child to our children’s urgent care center if they are exhibiting any of these symptoms because it could be the start of an illness.
